Summer Solstice Open House

FCG held a Summer Solstice Open House on June 20, 2020 for Foxridge residents and surrounding neighborhoods to see the transformation occurring of a neglected sand volleyball court into a gathering space for gardeners and community members. Good Things are Growing at Foxridge Community Garden

The mission statement is clear:  At Foxridge Community Garden, neighbors come together to grow food, share knowledge, cultivate skills, connect with nature, and strengthen our community. Foxridge Community Garden Update

Even with the COVID-19 pandemic and physical distancing requirements, the steering committee for the Foxridge Community Garden is making tremendous progress! First on the list of priorities is building a privacy fence between the former volleyball court and the tennis courts. Getting Off the Ground

While the lot destined to be the Foxridge Community Garden sleeps soundly under a fresh blanket of snow, the plans for the garden have flourished in our neighborhood.  The executive board of the Foxridge Swim and Racquet Club (FSRC) unanimously agreed to a three-year commitment to allow the conversion of a neglected and disused portion of their property to a bountiful and thriving community garden. DUG Garden Application in the Works

The Foxridge Community Garden committee has been busy working on a new garden application to submit to Denver Urban Gardens (DUG).  This application includes numbers of interested residents (polled via Nextdoor), letters of support from the Foxridge Swim and Racquet Club and the FIA.  If approved, we will move forward with DUG to establish greater community partnerships, gather more community feedback on the project, and start a fundraising plan.  If you are interested in supporting
