Oroweat Organic Breads and SeedMoney teamed up to sponsor their second annual Spring Planting Grant in 2021.  This grant provides resources for public food gardens to thrive. Foxridge Community Garden applied for this grant and was awarded $5,000 to build seven raised garden beds. These raised beds will be rented to local residents for personal use and/or food donations to local food banks.

The 2021 GroMoreGood Grassroots Grant is presented by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation and KidsGardening. This grant is designed to bring the life-enhancing benefits of gardens to communities across the United States.  Awards provide funding for the development of new and expansion of existing youth garden programs and greenspaces serving 15 or more youth. The long-term goal of the GroMoreGood initiative is to serve 10 million children over the next five years.

Foxridge Community Garden applied and received a $500 award.  These funds are being used to build a raised bed dedicated to our kids’ programming, giving neighborhood children a space to get dirty and learn more about nature and where our food comes from.

The Neighborhood Engagement Grant provides small monetary grants to residents, HOAs, and community organizations located in Centennial to support community-building events such as neighborhood block parties, movie nights, and social gatherings.

FCG received a grant award of $500 to host our Berry Patch Dedication Ceremony for Sue Townsand and our annual Volunteer Appreciation Event for 2021.
