Come join us for our last Kids' Club event of the season. Kids will explore the garden and see just how much it's changed since May. We'll also be harvesting produce from our communal beds. Children will learn about the different fruits, vegetables, and herbs in our garden, how they can be enjoyed, and they'll get to try the fruits of their labor.
The FCG Steering Committee is hosting a Fall Clean-Up on Saturday, October 16th at 10am. This is a great opportunity to help us with some of the communal clean-up tasks, like securing items for winter, taking down flags/signs, etc. Those who attend will be entered into a drawing for one of our pumpkins! Join us and Colorado Master Gardeners Deborah Moody and Kathi Thistlethwaite for an introduction to cool-season vegetable gardening. They will cover when to plant and the best varieties for our area. A Zoom link will be sent out the day before on 3/9.
Interested in raised garden beds, but not sure where to start? Please join us on Saturday, April 9th at 12pm at FCG. We'll be discussing the ins and outs of raised bed gardening including pros/cons, location, soil health, plant selection, and pest control. All skill levels are welcome! Should the weather spoil our plans, the alternate date will be Saturday, April 23rd at 12pm.

Soil Sale If you need good organic soil for your own garden, we have plenty available. Feel free to bring a shovel, means of transportation, and help yourself. Raised garden beds have different needs compared to in-ground beds. We'll cover soil amendments, water, and plant varieties that do well in our garden. After this discussion, we'll do our annual Spring Clean Up. We'll tend to perennial plants, clean up any debris, do tool maintenance, etc. Come for one event or both!
